Whats the best way to go about answering "For which of the following assertions is no support provided" type of questions.
The only method I have is to scan the entire passage for each sentence and see if it was supported, which is extremely time consuming.
Anyone have any tricks to this? Or is it just a matter of getting to memorize the passage better?

If you read the possible answers first you can usually get a headstart before looking at the passage. At least one answer will usually be illogical or when you look at the passage you will quickly see several assertions already supported immediately. This kind of reverse reading can potentially reduce time spent per passage for some individuals

OR

If you can learn how to skim/read faster and more effectively, you will do better. Three ways to do this are as follows:

1.) Practice with more difficult to read passages from other sources to get the neural connections and the lobes/hypothalami processing information more effectively thus stimulating more related long term potentiations.

2.) Use a free or low cost speed reading course online from a reputable company.

OR

Do not speed read or skim and just accept that you wll need to read the passage at a normal or slightly above average pace.

Hope this helps.

Kind Regards,
