I am scheduled to take Step 2CK in about 8 weeks (currently in the middle of my OBGYN rotation, but will have 4 weeks of dedicated after it's done). I took the school-administered CCSE on 4/26 and scored quite low (205-210 with a percent equivalent in the 20s in GI). Then I took the AMBOSS self-assessment on 5/7 and got a 230 (with, remarkably, GI being one of my "higher" bars), but I felt that I had a huge amount of luck on my side as I reviewed my answers. I attribute these results to forgetting some Step 1 material and having to relearn many concepts. I am currently 68% done with UWorld and 51% done with AMBOSS, without resets or redoing any wrong questions. My goal is in the mid-250s (256 to be exact just because it's 2 to the 8th power 😎). I would have been OK with a 230 before but this is no longer the case. The reason for this is because I'm considering switching from a non-competitive specialty to a more competitive one, but haven't made a final decision yet. How realistic is this? Also, if you have any advice or tips about how to get this done, can you please share?

I sure hope so, I’ve already improved 70 points from UWSA1 to NBME 10. Hoping I can continue to improve
