Ok, i realize this question must sound so silly .... but i must ask=)
Is Cardio fellowship generally a "general cards" fellowship that one applies to? then later on upon finishing that u apply again for intervention? Or is it one whole linked program?

the reason that im asking this is that the residency im interested in is thinking of starting a noninterventional cards fellowship. However im interested in interventional cardiology.... is the intervention part a whole separate application process? and if so, does it put u at an advantage as an applicant if say, you are at an institution that already offers an intervention program?

thanks

3 year general cards fellowship, then re-apply for interventional program (mostly 2 year programs now, some 1 year). I'm unsure, but probably slight advantage at home program (as w/ everything else).. Only gets more competitive..
