Stats: 3.53 CGPA
Program: Engineering Science (Biomedical Engineering) at University of Toronto
MCAT: BS 11 PS 13 VR 8 WS Q - 32Q

Other activities: Not much ECs....a few clubs...but nothing special....Have been working PT at Tim Hortons for past 3 years, Did Math Research last summer and Research in Pharmaceutical Sciences this summer. Plus this year I am doing a year-long thesis in Medical Biophysics (don't know if we can include current things)

I need some low tier schools in US to apply to...clearly I havent done my homework...

And I know its late in the cycle but better to apply now than never.....

So please shout out any schools you think will take such a guy....I will be adding any school name I see here to my list...so far I have the following:

Albert Einstein College of Medicine
Indiana University School of Medicine
Medical College of Wisconsin
New York Medical College
Pennsylvania State University College of Medicine
Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science
State University of New York Downstate Medical Center
The University of Vermont College of Medicine
University of Cincinnati College of Medicine
University of Wisconsin
Washington University School of Medicine
Wayne State University School of Medicine

Lol I actually had Duke in there for some reason, just removed it.

Thanks a lot in advance.

AECOM, NYMC, PSU, RFU, UVM and Wayne State are all good bets.

I would add upstate, im not sure if downstate takes internationals.

p.s. you better get going, as an international you are extremely behind....

Indiana University School of Medicine

State University of New York Downstate Medical Center
Washington University
don't bother with those 3....too competitive or don't really take internationals.

I'm not sure if Cincinnati takes internationals, I thought they didn't.

The rest look fine to me.

I'm not sure if you don't have any clinical experience or just didn't include it, but if you don't have any, I wouldn't apply this cycle. Instead, I'd spend this year loading up on that and then apply next cycle. And finally, I think everyone's advice here so far has been contingent on your BCPM GPA being near or higher than your CGPA, which I assume stands for cumulative GPA.

Good luck!

I would take out U of W, U of Cin, Wash U, SUny Upstate, and Indiana. You are a bit late, but you can still get an interview or two at other schools. I would also add Drexel, St. Louis, and U of Vermont :luck:

ahhh this laziness...you know I kept thinking....these deadlines are there for a reason....even though I knew all along people submit their apps the day they open....actually all the people I know (who happen to be in engineering) are still in process of applying....I guess we are just a bunch of fools...

But still, I want to give it a try...

Thanks a lot for the names! SDN rocks!

PS: I did start volunteering at hospital in Aug and will hopefully be doing a work-study program at a hospital.

And the problem is I will be graduating in 2008. And I don't really want to leave masters half-way.

We have like three or four of you guys in our M1 class here at EVMS.
