GPA Calculations OptomCAS

I am wondering how OptomCAS will calculate gpa's? I know they do it on there own, but do they average retaken classes or replace with the most recent taken.
Ex: Take physics 2 (1st time C) (2nd time A) will take A? or average?

But I would like to retake a class at another school besides my original university. And I am wondering if that will make a difference as well? Because my undergraduate university said the gpa will only be re-calculated if taken there again and wont be re-calculated if taken elsewhere. And I am wondering if that will make a difference on the OptomCAS?
