For classes that are either withdrawn from or changed to pass/fail, do the credits still go towards the total semester hours for AMCAS even if the grade doesn’t count towards your GPA? For example, if I had 19 credits during my sophomore year but withdrew from a 3 credit class, would the credits for that year on AMCAS still be 19 or now be 16? I ask this because the gpa is calculated by quality points/semester hours so higher semester hours with the same amount of quality points (because there is no grade for the class/ pass/fail isn’t counted as a grade) would be a lower gpa. Thank you!
