With a solid DAT score, I see no reason why Columbia or Penn is not an option for you. I would suggest getting started on volunteering. As for shadowing, you don't need a ton, 100 is pretty good.
 
High DAT score trumps few decimal points in GPA. Get 22+ and you should get interviews there unless they find something they don't like about your app other than GPA.
