How important are GRE scores for Ortho programs?

From what I've been told, most of the time its a formality and schools just require you take it. That being said, you would probably be better off in the mid 150's range. I don't think it will help you a ton, more hurt you if you do poorly. I have heard from multiple interviewees that none of the schools asked about the score.
