I couldn't find anything on this in a quick search, so I bring the question to the forum.
The patient was born via IVF using her father's sperm and an unrelated egg donor. The fertilized egg was implanted in the patient's mother. This mother, then, contributed no genetic material to the patient, but did provide the intrauterine environment to the fetus. Does this mother's personal and family psychiatric history matter in our patient's case wrt heritability of psychiatric disorders?
