The Jarisch-Herxheimer reaction can be found after treating any of the spirochetal diseases (Lyme, leptospirosis, relapsing fever). Thought to be due to endotoxin-like release when the bugs are lysed. TNF passive immunization can prevent the symptoms.

transposition of great arteries has two forms: common pattern and corrected pattern

common pattern = aorta from RV on right side of heart and PA from LV on left side of heart

corrected pattern = aorta from RV on left side of heart and PA from LV on right side of heart
