I have talked to a friend today about owning a dental clinic (through either opening my own or buying from someone else's clinic) in NYC, California or Atlanta. After our conversation, I felt pretty doomed as I found out that these areas are so saturated with dentists. For a general dentist, how difficult is it to have his/her own practice in NYC (specifically Brooklyn, Queens and Manhattan), California and Atlanta? What about specialized dentists (any specialties)? Why?
I specifically ask about these areas because I think my ability to speak both English and Chinese can make it easier for me to own a dental clinic as there are so many Chinese people in these areas. (Please correct me if this is just my naive thought).
