How do most optometrists find jobs?

Do most optometrists get jobs from internal networking? I’m asking because there are very few jobs on Glassdoor and other major job sites. Does this truly reflect the job market? Are you able to work in the geographic area you want or are you held back by job availability?

Is it ominous that no one has a response? Has this ben covered elsewhere. Glassdoor has kees than 600 full time optometrist jobs listed for the entire US. Way more than that graduate each year. There must be an inside source for jobs?

EyesOnEyecare by itself has 1500+ listings across America. Glassdoor and other major job sites don't truly reflect the job market at all. It's ominous that nobody has a response because all the new grad ODs are probably hard at work enjoying their new jobs.

I'm class of 2023 and every single one of my classmates who graduated and passed all parts of boards are employed with no problems. I was overwhelmed with how many people on LinkedIn from all over the country reached out to me for job offers.

You are able to work wherever you want. There are an abundance of jobs and not enough ODs from what I can see.
