I was just doing some research and it seems like there are tons of clinics out there that are grossing like 600k with like 5-6 weeks of vacation and working just 4 days a week. So I know a lot of that 600k will be gone to other costs, but how much would it cost to actually buy one of those practices? Also how much would you estimate those dentists make in net income assuming like 2 secretaries, 2 hygienists, 1 assistant?

The cost is typically 65-70% of the gross.

The net income is typically 35-40% of the gross.

Note that these figures are for a GENERAL practice. They are different for specialists.
The above cost and net are different if the practice is in a very desirable area (downtown LA, NYC, etc.., higher cost) or a total middle-of-nowhere craphole (far rural Maine, the White Mountains of NH, etc..., lower cost). The irony is that in the desirable areas the net will typically be less by percentage, and in the crap-holes the net will be higher by percentage of gross. Go figure.

good luck.
