How to incorporate journal reading in your studying?

I know it is not mandatory but I feel like if I find the time I want to include reading journals (not to the T, but get the feel of it). I just don't want it to backfire, so I am wondering for those who have found a way to incorporate such, I have a few questions: What journal site would you recommend subscription to? What "content" section of the MCAT should I read? I think Biochem would be best. How would you make the best of your time to use these with the purpose of it helping me for the MCAT?
