I work at a new medical college. We began our first semester on August 15. We have two Air Force HPSP students (our only two HPSP students) and are experiencing a delay of their scholarship proceeds. We are being told that there may be some new guidance or policy change issued in December of 2015 that is resulting in the delayed delivery of the scholarship proceeds for these two students.

Per the Air Force administrative person: “there was a change to language that removed the provisions for schools who are new and have not been accredited (need the first class to graduate). We don’t know if this was thought to be redundant language and removed or removed to exclude schools that were not fully accredited”.

The college has received the highest level of accreditation a college can obtain until it graduates its first class in 2020. The college’s eligibility as an accredited medical college had been previously assessed and evaluated by all three branches and we currently have many current and future students being actively recruited by all three branches.

Any others experiencing related issues? Any thoughts?
