i got an evolution question

what's the difference between the "coevolution hypothesis" and the "lottery hypothesis"? my notes seem to indicate that they are relatively similar, but there must be a distinction. since all you pre-allo people are so smart, maybe you can help me out for this final tomorrow..

Ironically, I hadn't heard of "lottery hypothesis" until earlier this morning when I was reading the following site:
