In service exam

Our residency program had us take half of last year's PGY1 In Service Exam. I guess I have to take it again in November. What should I do to prepare for it? What will happen if I fail? What is it used for? They told me not to worry about it.

The in-training exam (ITE) is strictly for self-assessment. It's possible that a program could use a very low score as an excuse for remediation, but chances are that won't be the only problem. For more info, see the following links:
