Interview months away

I recently got my first II!!

I’m super excited and grateful but the interview date is set for March 2023. Is it normal for interview dates to be set so far in advance? Does this mean I’m likely interviewing for a WL spot? I don’t have any friends in premed to compare. Would love to hear the experiences of anyone who had something similar occur.

For added context, I applied fairly late (submit secondary for this school in the middle of October) and I’m an OOS applicant and this school is not super OOS friendly from what I’ve gathered.

Yes and likely unless an interview spot opens up earlier. You may want to plan on checking in with admissions every month (not more frequently). No guarantees but if its the only II you have, make sure you are professional about how you move forward.
