If you can find used versions that are minimally marked then I would go for that. There really aren't substantive year over year changes for Kaplan, TPR, Next Step, etc. I wouldn't buy anything older than 2018 though.

You mean the scratch-off codes in the study books? No.
Buy the AAMC practice tests and question packs at a minimum, though. Others would say to get UWorld as well, which will give you a large question bank for additional practice. Practice makes perfect.
Also, I will echo the advice given about purchasing the used books. Just make sure they aren't marked up. The practice questions in Kaplan are useful for assessing your understanding of the content but are nowhere near representative of MCAT style questions.
