there are a lot of rich people who are not successful.

lots of poor ones who are.

"success" in medicine should be determined by your outcomes, not your bank account
 
And what determines a successful outcome? Subjective responses of less pain, increased activity tolerance, lower VAS? Who's to say he's not getting that with his treatments?
