On my application, I had listed that I do website design and I made a website for our schools program.

I just got an email that the website is now (it wasn't before) in violation of the new university policies released about a week ago. So I followed the advice of the email and took down the website.

The thing is, it is listed on my application. So if an adcom goes to the website, they will go to a webpage that doesn't exist.

Should I email and update each school individually that it is no longer active? If I do that, should I mention that it is because of new university policies?

Or bring it up in interviews? I need advice on ways to approaching how to solve this issue! Thanks

What was it about that made it against policy?

Since it was a website about a student organization, per the new regulations, student websites had to be created through the universities own internal client instead of a 3rd party such as squarespace
