in-Training, the online magazine for medical students at in-training.org, is looking for medical students of all class years to submit written and artistic works about their experiences in medicine for peer-edited online publication.

Committed to authentically representing the medical student voice, in-Training is run entirely by medical students and serves as an outlet for budding physician-journalists, writers and artists at medical schools around the globe.

We are looking for students interested in writing about any topic relevant to the medical student community, including technology, policy, ethics, law, and literature. We are also looking for students interested in covering breaking news as reporters, writing in-depth columns about topics they are passionate about, managing our social media accounts, and artists, musicians, and poets to produce creative works for our Off the Shelf section.

No prior writing experience is required.

We invite students and faculty to visit in-Training at in-training.org and subscribe to our twice-monthly newsletter at in-training.org/newsletter. Please fill out our interest form at tinyurl.com/intraining or contact us at [email protected] if you are interested in writing, editing or reporting for in-Training.

Since we went live in July 2012, we have published over 1000 articles from over 450 writers at 135 institutions across nine different countries. in-Training has been featured on Scientific American, USA Today, Wing of Zock, NPR, Stanford Medicine X, Orlando Sentinel, and The BMJ.

We also produce two podcasts: an oral narratives podcast entitled Inside Stories that catalogs the perspective of medical students during their training; and an medical innovation podcast entitled History & Physical that highlights the latest news and opinions from medical education thought leaders.

We look forward to welcoming you to the premier online publication for medical students!
