im sorry got no info abt it.. how different is it from MFDS?

MFDS was the old name for it and its no longer used in england but some countries still use it coz the 2nd part in it is more easier than 2nd part in MJDF ,,,,,,,but i think its not a good idea to take MFDS as its no longer used in england

What is the point of having this title anyway? Can you practice in UK with it?

so is there anybody here preparing to enter the exam this year ???

Hi I did part 1 in 2012, I used best of fives, mcqs for dentistry and SAQs for dentistry to prepare. It's really really easy, part 2 was quite hard I would recommend doing MFDS part 2 instead. That had a higher pass rate. I found MJDF and MFDS are almost synonymous.

Good luck!

I am planning to get assistance from SCORE (Egyptian Dental Institute for MJDF Preparation), please tell me if it worth? Thanks in Advance :)

Thanks for the information ! Please tell me if in Perio Section , I have to prepare "Indices for Scoring Oral Debris,Plaque and Calculus" (Silness 1964,Quigley 1962,Greene and Vermillion 1960 ,Volp-Manhold 1969) or Only Current BPE is enough which I have prepared .The reason I am asking is mentioned on Master Dentistry but already "Out dated " for expert advice from any one please!!

The exam is basically testing the way you should practice in a general setting. Not a specialist setting. They only ask things that are current. I doubt they would ask in depth perio question. Also they won't ask you to cite literature either. Learn your BPE and what treatment is required for each score as well as what radiographs you would take for eg in a sextant with BPE 4. Learn your radiology guidelines too. IOTN for orthodontics. Good luck!
