Not sure if this has been posted yet or answered but it's very concerning for me so I'll ask it. For people who were or are parents (preferably mother's just because I am a mother lol) when applying for med school, how do you/would you deal with going to a school away from your spouse and kids? I know it is common sense to apply to many different schools to increase your chances of acceptance and of course it would be nice to be accepted into a school in your state or city but the odds of that happening aren't always good. Just wondering if anyone has any stories/tips/advice anything to share. This is one of the main factors for my decision to try/not try to go to med school.

Forgot to mention, I am divorced and we currently split time with my son. I know some families or single parents have the option of moving together but that is not a feasible option for me. Thanks!
