Did anyone purchase the MSAR from AAMC? If so, is there any information in there regarding the new MCAT scores and how they will be used in the admissions process?
You should just look at the current MSAR school median (say a 38) convert it to percentile (99th) and then convert from percentile to new score (probably low 520s) when the distribution is released. that will tell you what score range is competitive per school
The only way to convert the old score to the new is through percentiles. You can't just say that a person who got a 38 got a 526, since the two tests cover different material. Both 38 and 526 are 99th percentile, however.
Because of this, there won't be any new scores in the MSAR until 2016 or so.
