Must have for forensic fellowships (or "Can I keep doing what I did as a resident?")

As fellowship looms closer, I'm wondering what previous fellows "wish" they would have done more of during the year, or what tools they found useful.

For example, I know there is a lot of driving and will be different protocols at different sites.

I'm planning on taking notes by hand. Would others recommend typing things so as to more easily write reports? Or does that not matter as much?

I have Rosner and Scott's text, and am plugged in with AAPL.
