So I currently have an MCAT score of 30 and am retaking the test in June (CA resident). Therefore, my score won't be released until July. I plan on submitting my application the first day and will hopefully have all my letters in soon after.

1. Since the AMCAS transmission date isn't until July 1st, would it matter that my new MCAT score won't get to medical schools until a few weeks later?

2. Would I still have to reach out to each school to inform them a new MCAT score is available or would they check it themselves since it reaches AMCAS automatically?

I understand most schools don't look at complete apps until much later, so does this post even matter?
Hopefully I score better, so I don't want my app to be based on my old MCAT.

Thanks in advance for the help!
