When you ask, "how much does EM bring in?" really there are 2 parts to this.

1 - what does the physician group bring in?
2 - what does the hospital bring in?

per previous threads, a solid estimate is $150/patient for your average ED. That's money for the physician group. Of course there will be some minor overhead for processing billing and malpractice insurance, but it shouldn't be too much.

I have less knowledge about what the hospital brings in. However, I'll guess around $1200-$1500 per patient on average. I am interested in others' insights into this. Of course the hospital has much more overhead. However I can't imagine they don't come out ahead.
