Hi everyone,

I am wondering what the chances are of being successful in an interview . I guess it depends on the whole group of candidates and where each of us stand but what I am trying to see is if they are inviting us for the interview then is it like "OK, unless there is something they find totally unacceptable" or is it another hard game ?? 😕

I am really confused because I can't afford to go for all the interviews and I don't know which program is really interested in me.. and more importantly which is not..Does it make any sense??

It is a fallacy to think all interviewees are seen in the same light by the program. Some places make it more obvious than others, at least in surgery. You can help or hurt yourself based on an interview. But likely you will confirm whatever opinion of you a program already has. The rank list is set in a rough form before you ever arrive. Go to the places you like best and save a couple that you are more than competitive for just to make sure.

Good Luck
