And, Chronic pain and opioid prescriptions are not part of the law. The prescribers that should be most affected by this change are orthos and surgeons. Patients just call in for a refill after a week. Providers write 1 week scripts until they have given out 8 of them, then they call the patient chronic and write the 1 month scripts. Most still don't have the "guts" to tell the patient "you're done with opioids, the acute pain is over"... Sent from my iPhone using SDN mobile
