OPT - When you applied and is there a change in status?

Hi,

I applied for OPT in April. Vermont said they received in on the 21st of April. Its still in Initial Review mode. Can you please let me know when I can expect a card? My future employer is desperate for me to start and may rescind the offer if I am not on board on time. Anybody who applied during the same timeframe got theirs. My school misinformed me that the process will take about 4 weeks.

Be prepared to wait for upto 2 months. You can apply for OPT 3 months in advance, then why wait for end of course to apply? officials at schools are generally not up to date with current wait times, so its recommended to do your own research also.
There are many forums for OPT trackers, join them to get more specific timelines and details.
