Any thoughts on best choice for small single site AP LIS?

If specimen tracking and lab data are easily maintained at single site with old fashioned paper logs, is there any reason not to use the Notes section of a clinical EHR for writing pathology reports?

There is no legal requirement for a dedicated software. By using non-dedicated software, you would lose some efficiency and elegance in your work. However, if it is in an office lab setting, I would drastically shorten report itself, because the doctors would not care.
