Hi-
Stupid question, but ok. I'm wondering; do we pay for medical school up front? For instance, do I pay for the first year on the first day with my loaned money? Can one pay on a monthly basis? Do they expect you to pay at the END of the year?
Thanks...

Normally your school wants you to pay sometime around the beginning of the first semester, but a lot of schools do have 12 month payment plans if you're really planning to pay out of pocket for medical school. If you're funding school through financial aid, your lender/scholarship grantor will pay a big chunk of money at the start of the term that covers tuition, fees and living costs for the term. The school withholds their part and gives the rest to you.
