My attending does too much baby talk, it is kind of annoying. Sometimes it even blends when she is baby talking to the child and then goes to talk to the parent... Should I say anything about this? My initial thought is of course no.

When you say it though make sure to match the same baby pitch

As a med student, it's always a good idea to give attending physicians critical feedback about how they interact with patients, especially if they're doing something as reprehensible as using baby talk when talking to children.

i had a similar situation in the OR once. This surgeon who had been practicing for, idk maybe 40 years, was holding the scalpel a bit differently from what this textbook I had read said you were supposed to. I told him and he was very responsive and even thanked me.
