Do your groups do anything to minimize occupational exposure after PET/CT’s? A lot of times cancer centers have a PET/CT in house and they see us same-day after imaging.

Great question. Apart from inpatient charts that have labels on for a day after PET, we don’t have anything specifically for our outpts afaik. All of our staff wear dosimeters, and I do think our sim staff do record the highest doses of the lot due to a lot of patients being simmed right after nuclear scans, though.
 

Great treatment at above link. Compare to background radiation. I don't think there is a need.

I had physics look into this, and we found the dose to be negligible.
