The adult neurology residency program at UT Southwestern in Dallas was recently approved by ACGME to increase from 8 to 9 residents per year.
As a result, there will be an available PGY-2 position starting in July 2015
According to NRMP match rules, this neurology PGY-2 position will be filled through the match.
Interested applicants should apply through ERAS to the reserved PGY-2 position at UTSW Dallas
Some information about neurology match positions:
Categorical (C) positions start as PGY-1 in July 2015
Advanced (A) positions start as PGY-2 in July 2016 and require a match to a preliminary medicine program
Reserved (R) positions start as PGY-2 in July 2015. Available to residents who have or will have completed an eligible PGY-1 year
It is a match violation for programs to offer any residency position outside the match, until after the main match is completed in March
