As a P4 I've been looking into more information on these types of residences looking at some programs in Kansas, Ohio State, Wisconsin, etc. I don't hear much about these from immediate people I know but certainly there has to be more information as far as what these programs look for in a applicat, how the interview process differs from any other residency, etc. For anyone who has applied and matched to an admin residency, mind sharing some more info on your stats and experiences? Thanks!

I am a P4 as well, but I believe most admin use PPS at Midyear.

Most people do PPS and go to the networking events for these programs (if invited) during the evenings at Midyear. I am not sure about how the interview process differs ro what they are looking for. I assume that they will place more weight on leadership experiences.

Hello,

I am a current PGY-1 Health-System Pharmacy Administration Resident at UW Health in Madison, Wisconsin. I think you have elected on a great journey and promise that the residency interview process will be very rewarding. For the time being, check out this YouTube video recorded by one of our current second year admin resident (link below) and our website (nice pdf document with detailed info about our program). I would also recommend looking at the ASHP residency directory (link below) for admin programs around the country then check out their website as well, and reach out if you have questions.

As the above poster mentioned, PPS is a component of the interview process for admin programs. It gives you a chance to have one on one meetings with the programs you sign up for to see whether or not you'd like to apply to those programs. I am not sure when registration for PPS opens, but it might be sometime in October or November. If you have any questions about anything you see on our website, please do not hesitate to reach out. I'll be looking forward to meeting you!

Best of luck!

what is the turnaround time to hearing back from schools you request PPS interview with?

What type of questions should I expect at PPS?
