I didn't know where in SDN to post my question but hopefully someone here can help me out. I was wondering if anybody knew of any accredited Oral Biology PhD programs that take non-dentists or those without a DDS/DMD degree. All the ones I've looked into require a dental degree but I'm interested in pursuing research in dentistry without going the DDS or combined DDS/PhD route. I have a masters degree in the biomedical sciences and have been working in the dental field since high school, but the clinical aspect doesn't interest me. I was considering oral path but that would require dental school and residency. So is there an institution where I can bypass dental to do dental research, such as oral biology PhD?
Thanks in advance.
