Hello,
I was hoping that there were people out there that could comment on the Portland State University Pre-med post bac program in Portland, Oregon. There doesn't seem to be much on this topic and only minor mentions in other threads. I graduated with a BA degree in 2009, and with a non-science graduate degree (juris doctorate) in 2013. I have completed about 75% of my prerequisites but need to finish at least a year sequence and want to do upper science coursework as well.
Has anyone gone through this program and subsequently been successful in getting into med school (M.D. or D.O)? What were the classes like? The administration? what about the pre-med and/or post bac community? What about professors? or getting individual letters of recommendation or program letter? volunteer opportunities or shadowing?
Any other insights or comments are welcomed. Thank you.
