According to Animal Planet Here are the pets that McCain has...
John McCain — A small zoo including:
Coco, the mutt,
Two turtles, Cuff and Link,
Oreo, a black and white cat,
a ferret,
three parakeets,
13 saltwater fish.
And perhaps a partridge in a pear tree?!

According to Animal Planet Obama does NOT have a pet..

Here is the page that shows all the presidents and there pets.. found it very interesting

Am I the only one who finds it funny that Taft was the last one to have a cow at the White House?

Maybe the cow got stuck in the bathtub too!

Haha, I had the same exact thought. Don't they say that after awhile owners start to look like their pets? :)

The Obamas have promised their two kids that they will be getting a dog as soon as the elections are over, regardless of the results. :) Who knows? There might be a puppy being paper-trained in the White House in a few months!

I went through it yesterday and there were 1 (or 2) presidents that didn't have any pets! So it wouldn't be a first. I didn't even know GWB had any pets haha. That would be extremely hard to find time for them :(

The Clintons let Socks go to a person on staff because they got Buddy the dog and they didn't get along. :(

That's so sad! I remember when I was a little girl my parents bought me a life-sized Socks the Cat stuffed animal. I wonder if they make plushes of all the presidential pets.
