I wouldn't assume this. Everyone applying to OMFS is competitive and it's expected to have good class rank and now with good CBSE scores in addition to all the other bells and whistles most people have. Anything besides competitive (at least top 1/3rd in my mind) will have to be justified and compensated for.

yes
