is there a risk from those radiation in getting cancers and bad things?

The difference is apparent by the time interventionalists hit 60s (same for Eps): they just don't age as well as the imaging/general guys!

Have you seen the back issues some of these guys develop from wearing lead for 30+ years?

Ouch.
 
is there any experience with a doctor you know with such as complication?
 
Who on earth doesn't wear a pelvic shield??? I didn't even know some places didn't. As to the "No Brainer", it has taken off in the past 2 years.

Not at the place I worked at before at least, they didn't wear lead hats, use pelvic shields or have the shield guards (the plastic shields placed between the machine and the operator's side profile)
