Reabsorption vs. Resorption

Yea... as the title indicates, what is the difference?
It seems like by definition, these two are totally opposite things...
but at the same time ppl use it for the same meaning :eek:
(weird thing is, even online definitions are all different. some states resorption same as reabsorption, and some states resorption as "the loss of substance or bone by physiologic or pathologic means")

For instance... in 2011 Destroyer bio #314,

The answer says this statement is correct.
"The main function of the large intestine is the resorption of water, sodium, and other minerals"

I feel like in this case, reaborption should be used because water, sodium, and other minerals are not getting lost in this physiological system...

Can anyone differentiate these two ??????
