Rheumatology Fellowship Training Opportunity in NYC

Location: Montefiore Medical Center, Bronx, NY
Program Director: Irene Blanco, MD
Availability: July 2014
Deadline: Open until filled

The Division of Rheumatology at Montefiore Medical Center the University Hospital of Albert Einstein College of Medicine is in search for a second year rheumatology fellow to start on July 2014.

Potential applications should have completed PGY4 in Rheumatology training and have the desire or need to relocate to New York City. Our fellowship offers a two-year advanced medical training program fully accredited by the ACGME. In the recent past, fellows completing this program have all passed their board certifications and have gone on to both academic and private practice opportunities. The fellowship provides an active teaching program covering the clinical, diagnostic laboratory, and research aspects of rheumatology including comprehensive ultrasound training. House officers are closely supervised by attending faculty, and trainees learn how to clinically assess and manage patients with rheumatologic diseases and musculoskeletal complaints. The division has didactic seminars including journal club, clinical conference, research conference, radiology conference and interdepartmental conferences with orthopedics, pathology, and rehabilitation. In addition, there are city-wide clinical rheumatology conferences.

Requirements:
The applicant should have completed a minimum of PGY4 in Rheumatology (Year 1 of Fellowship) and be in good standing with their current program having met all requirements for the completion of year 1.

How to Apply:
Applicants should send a letter of interest, dean’s letter, CV, 3 letters of recommendation and an official transcript to:
