what is the mechanism behind loss of bone in case of Rhumatoid artheritis ?

Can you be more specific in your question? Do you mean the damage within the joints or the fact that people with RA have a higher rate of osteoporosis?
- I believe the higher rate of osteoporosis in RA is commonly due to use of prednisone and other steroids treating flares.
