I am an RN BSN x10 yrs, am thinking of career change to LMSW to specialize in mental health .
How can i get observational exposure ( to see if this is what i want). I don't think i can do that as an Psch RN because i would be pushing meds & paperwork. Should i get work as an MHW in a hospital, or work as an RN in outpatient psych facility...For instance when i investigated PT, i called a hospital to volunteer & observe in the PT dept.....but for pscyh i don't think i can do that....any suggestions.... I read here that I may volunteer at the Red cross....any other suggestions.....thank-you
