Which Pharmacy schools do not currently require the PCAT Test for Admission?

Check PharmCAS there is a list..

Northeastern University and several other schools still have a 0-6 program, where you are accepted as a freshman and automatically accepted into 1st professional year as long as you have a certain GPA and pass a simple interview (no PCAT).

Sullivan, MOST if not all Cali Schools

All CA schools do not require PCAT nor looks at it.

In addition, the following OOS schools do not require PCAT: MCPHS, Touro NY, Pacific University in Oregon.

As a current pharmacy student that has been in pharmacy school for over two years now I always look at these posts and am slightly amused. Everyone has their own situation so I don't want to assume what your reasoning would be behind not wanting to take the PCAT....maybe you have taken it and you are concerned your score is too low, however there are a very large number of schools out there that do not really have a minimum score and just use it as part of the application package.

But if you have not taken the PCAT and don't want to I want to tell you that when you are in pharmacy school the tests are fast and furious. The PCAT is rather typical of the kind of intense test taking environment you will be subjected to for months at a time. No you won't have a four hour test on many subjects...but you will likely have a schedule where you have several exams in a week, along with a quiz or two that same week, along with some kind of lab, and a presentation. That is a normal week once the semester gets going. Going out of your way to avoid this test by choosing a school that doesn't require it seems to be a lot of effort considering once you make it into pharmacy school opting out of the crazy test schedule isn't an option. So for anyone trying to bypass the PCAT for these reasons I would advise you to take it since the PCAT is a taste of what a regular three days is like in pharmacy school.

 Seriously. if you've been to college, the PCAT isn't bad at all. You can't bypass NAPLEX lol
