Secondary paragraphs and payment?

My file got uploaded yesterday.

I quickly got an email from the University of Arizona, who requested a paragraph asking why I was interested in their program, and also for a check for $10 as a secondary fee.

Do most schools do this? For some reason I thought there were few schools that asked for these things.

Only a small minority do. I think out of all the places I applied, UCSD was the only one ($25 and a required a few paragraphs about why UCSD)
