I have been seeing posts about Medical Schools looking for a long term dedication to those in need and I was wondering what kind of EC's are considered service for those in need?

Habitat for Humanity, Mentoring middle/high school kids?

Yes. Other examples: Humane Society, crisis hotline, soup kitchen, food pantry, homeless shelter. women’s shelter, after-school tutoring for middle school students or coaching a sport in a poor school district, teaching ESL to adults at a community center, Big Brothers/Big Sisters, Meals on Wheels.
