poll:

for the mcat did you:

find out what you got wrong on practice tests and consistantly study for that or
made sure you knew only what you were good at cold?

You have to study for everything, because you never know what will show up on the test.

mostly worked on weaknesses, but did some work on my strengths too.

When I did my practice tests, I made sure I marked which ones I wasn't sure on, and went over them along with the ones I got wrong to shore up my inadequacies. I didn't mark ones I had cold. I studied everything, but worked hard on weaknesses.

I'd pretty much check all the solutions after I'd take a practice test/topical/subject test/Ek question series and on questions where I didn't really get it -- I'd write it out on a separate sheet. By the end of "basics training," I had a list of my weaknesses right there. Simply reviewed them...did more questions...rinse and repeat.
